Steps
Steps
The Franklin Square Society Salon Gallery at the Hanover Theatre for Performing Arts (Worcester, MA) – Steps, an exhibition by Irina Parfenova, opens October 18, 2012 and will run through March 18, 2013. A native of Russia currently teaching at the Worcester Art Museum, Ms. Parfenova’s works include drawings, paintings, and collage.
Ms. Parfenova’s art is inspired by memories and the process by which we create them. She balances academic and experimental methods, while revealing her fascination with figure and abstraction. She writes, “My artistic goal is to translate into the visual form the uniqueness and drama of human life, the physical and spiritual forces that move us, such as searching, growing and becoming.”
An opening reception will take place at the Franklin Square Society Gallery at the Hanover Theatre on Wednesday October 18, from 6-8 PM. This event is free and open to the public.
