Artist Reception: Friday, February 4, 20011 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at ARTSWorcester’s Aurora Gallery 660 Main Street, Worcester, MA. This event is free and open to the public and will feature refreshments and music.
Parking is available for a small fee at the Federal Square Municipal Parking Lot at 570 Main Street, Worcester - across from the Hanover Theatre. The lot is open until midnight. Street parking is discouraged because of the snow.
Seventh Annual Colleges of Worcester Consortium Exhibition is a juried group exhibition culled from over one hundred emerging student artists from the colleges of the Worcester Consortium and will include works in mixed media, photography, works on paper, sculpture, computer art, and painting. This exhibition, which began in 2005, highlights the wealth of artistic talent existing within the local college community. Participating institutions may include Anna Maria College, Assumption College, Becker College, Clark University, College of the Holy Cross, and Worcester State University. College participation is coordinated by Catherine Wilcox-Titus, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Art History at Worcester State College.
This exhibition is supported in part by the Colleges of Worcester Consortium. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
Works for the show were selected by jurors Antonio Fonseca, accomplished artist and Director of Education at Sevengaits Studio School in Southbridge, MA and Liz K. Sheenan, independent curator of modern and contemporary art and former Assistant Curator of Academic and Exhibition Initiatives at Bates College Museum of Art, Lewiston ME.
