At first glance Fernando Martins work looks like an abstract expressionist painting; expressive and careful compositions of line and color and then you realize that the image is an object out of context. This visual flip creates a body of work that invites the viewer to examine items from everyday life, what will you find? Images of Yellow lines, pink splatters, sharp white edges, squares in a grid.
