Charlene Cloutier’s paintings are bright and colorful. She paints from photos she has taken and enjoys working in themes to create series of paintings that focus on close-ups of one subject. Charlene travels with her camera and is always looking for potential subject matter to paint from. One series of paintings is a 9x12 series of 16 different playgrounds, with a spotlight on slides, swings and other playground equipment. Her newest ones, featured at the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, are mainly 14x18 (and one 18x24) where her focus is on wheels.
