Artists Reception: Friday, March 19, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at ARTSWorcester’s Aurora Gallery 660 Main Street, Worcester, MA.  Snow date for the reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.  This event is free and open to the public and features refreshments and music.

 

New Again is an ARTSWorcester member exhibition exploring found materials and the notion of identity re-designation by transforming commonplace objects into works of art.  New Again challenges artists to appropriate natural, recycled, and found materials and place them within a new, exciting, and engaging context.  Artists provide these objects with new meaning beyond their originally intended function and illustrate how perception can shift when the framework surrounding an everyday item is changed.
