This event is free and open to the public and features refreshments. Artist Talk will be featured as part of PechaKucha Night Worcester Vol. 6 Sunday, September 26, 2010 from 7:20 – 11:00 pm at the Hanover Theatre. Beyond the Clearing features works by painter Marc Morin. A 2007 graduate of the Art Institute of Boston, Morin is strongly influenced by his experiences while studying abroad at the Lorenzo de’Medici School in Florence, Italy. Also interested in psychology, he related to the Italian landscape and city in terms of emotion and romanticism then carried these impressions to the canvas. Morin’s paintings are vast and monumental environments painted in dramatic light with colors and texture conveying the psyche that he reflects upon. Morin calls the viewer to also reflect, “...the fusion of the emotion and the external reality of a moment in life.”
