Viva el Arte 2009 - an exhibition of contemporary Latin American art and culture

Viva el Arte 2009 opening reception will take place Thursday,

September 24, 2009 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the ARTSWorcester Aurora Gallery located at 660 Main Street, Worcester. This occasion is free and open to the public and will feature refreshments and music.

Viva el Arte 2009 is an exhibition in collaboration with Centro Las Americas celebrating Latin American art and culture. Viva el Arte began in 1993 as a way of highlighting the wealth of artistic talent which exists within the local Latino community. Latin American artists from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut are invited to exhibit artwork in all media for this event. The exhibition will be juried by professional artist Antonio Fonesca and Honee Hess, Director of Education for Worcester Art Museum. Please join us for this exciting occasion to explore and enjoy a visual presentation of local Latin American culture.
