Established in 1979, ARTSWorcester (AW) is a non-profit members’ organization, located in a historic building in downtown Worcester. ARTSWorcester’s Aurora Gallery is the only professionally managed non-profit gallery in Central Massachusetts in which fine, performing, and literary artists can exhibit new work. Our programming also includes open studio tours, lectures, concerts, collaborative arts festivals, and professional workshops. As part of the Worcester Cultural Coalition, we advocate the arts at the local, state, and national level, and we work with educational leadership to develop the next generation of arts leaders in our community.
ARTSWorcester
- provides exhibition space and performance venues to artists,
- creates opportunities for the public to enjoy the arts, free of charge,
- advances the careers of local artists through sales opportunities and professional development,
- advocates for cultural organizations and individual artists at local, state and federal levels, and
- fosters collaborations between cultural, business, educational, and municipal organizations.
