You are invited to join ARTSWorcester, The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester, and Quinsigamond Community College for the Opening Reception of “Image Makers” on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 from 4:00– 7:30pm in the QCC/ARTSWorcester Gallery in the Administrative Building at Quinsigamond Community College, 670 West Boylston Street, Worcester. A gallery walk will be held from 6:00 – 6:30 p.m. that evening.
Working in partnership with the Worcester Cityworks AmeriCorp program, The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester’s Ionic Avenue Photography Club is comprised of 30 youth ages 8 to 17 who have been learning basic photographic techniques, styles, genres, and history. Selected from over 150 images, this exhibition offers 25 wonderful examples of their youthful creativity and curiosity. Jurors include Stephen DiRado of Clark University, Ellen S. Dunlap of The American Antiquarian Society, and Erika Davis Wade of Davis Publications, Inc. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and Honorable Mention.
- “Image Makers” photographs by the Ionic Avenue Photography Club of The Boys & Girls Club of Worcester in the QCC/ARTSWorcester Gallery at QCC, March 7 – March 17, 2006.
- Opening Reception is Tuesday, March 7, 2006, 4:00 – 7:30pm; gallery walk, 6:00 to 6:30pm. This occasion will feature refreshments and music.
- “Image Makers” is funded in part by: ARTSWorcester, L.B. Wheaton, Inc. of Worcester, Living Artists Gallery of Worcester and Orlando, Florida, and Quinsigamond Community College.
- The QCC/ARTSWorcester gallery hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–7:00 pm, and is located in the main hallway of the Administrative Building at Quinsigamond Community College, 670 West Boylston Street, Worcester, Massachusetts. The Gallery is free and open to the public.
